Cooking Instructions
Sort and wash beans. Empty contents of seasoning pouch and the cleaned beans into a large pot with 9 cups of water, 1 lb. smoked cubed sausage, 2 BAYOU MAGIC BAY LEAVES, and a 14.5 oz. can tomatoes (for those who enjoy a more spicy taste, use 1 can Rotel tomatoes or hot sausage). Let soak for about 1 hour. Bring to rolling boil, reduce to medium heat. Add 2 Basil leaves. Cook Covered until beans are tender (about 2 hours). Remove bay leaves. Serve over steamed rice or noodles with lightly sprinkled parsley flakes.
